Once upon a time, in a quaint village nestled between rolling hills, lived a young and aspiring inventor named Mia. Mia was known throughout the village for her boundless enthusiasm and her insatiable curiosity about the world around her. From an early age, Mia had a dream—to invent something that would make life easier for everyone in the village. She started by attempting to create a water-powered contraption to carry heavy loads, but her initial designs were met with failure. Undeterred, Mia tinkered, adjusted, and tried again, learning from each setback. As the years went by, Mia's workshop became a hub of activity. The villagers watched as Mia's experiments sometimes resulted in small explosions or amusing mishaps, but her enthusiasm never waned. She faced failure after failure, yet her optimism remained unshaken. One day, the village announced a grand innovation fair, inviting inventors from neighboring towns to showcase their creations. Napoleon Hill also gave us some clues to know how some people get success by following these rules.
One of the common causes of failure is the habit of "Quitting" when one is overtaken by temporary defeat. Every person is guilty of this mistake at one time or another.  When we begin to think and grow rich, you will observe that riches begin with a state of mind, with definiteness to purpose, with little or no hard work.  Everyone ought to be interested in knowing how to acquire that state of mind which will attract riches.
One of the main weakness of mankind is the average mans familiarity with the word “Impossible.”  He knows all the rules which will not work. He knows all the things which cannot be done. This book was written for those who seek the riles which made others successful and are willing to stake everything on those rules.
Success comes to those who become success conscious. And Failure comes to those who indifferently allow themselves to become failure conscious. As like money comes to those who become money conscious.

In this book we already mentioned the 13 steps to become rich in life, that is;
  1. Desire
  2. Faith
  3. Autosuggestion
  4. Specialized knowledge
  5. Imagination
  6. Organized planning
  7. Decision
  8.  Persistence
  9. Power of the mastermind
  10. The mystery of sex transmutation
  11. The subconscious mind
  12. The brain
  13. The sixth sense

Desire (The starting point of all achievements & The first step towards Riches)

Desire is the first step towards to rich. When you want something wholeheartedly, it comes to you as a reality. When you think continuously about your dream or desire, you will find a way to get your desire. There was a term called Money conscious, in this term a person completely thinks that itself as a rich person. When you became money conscious, you try to earn money in any situation.

The methods by which desire for riches can be transmuted into financial equivalent, consists of six definite, practical steps, viz;

First step:-- Fix your mind the exact amount of money you desire. It is not merely to say “I want plenty of money.” Be definite as to the amount.
Second step:-- Determine exactly what you intend to give in return for the money you desire. There is no such reality as “something for nothing”.
Third step:-- Establish a definite date when you intend to possess the money you desire.
Fourth step:-- Create a definite plan for carrying out your desire and begin at once, whether you ready or not, to put this plan into action.
Fifth step:-- Write out a clear concise statement of the amount of money you intend to acquire, name the time limit for this acquisition, state what you intend to give in return for the money, and describe clearly the plan through which you intend to accumulate it.
Sixth step:-- Read your written statement aloud, twice daily, once just before retiring at night, and once after arising in the morning. As you read – see, feel, and believe yourself already in possession of the money.

If you have that burning desire and wish to be rich then these few steps may not be so difficult for you. Remember one thing that any big desire or wish is always a dream until you achieve it. You may complain that it is impossible for you to "see yourself in possession of money" before you actually have it. Here is where our burning desire will come to your mind. If you truly desire money so keenly that your desire is an obsession, you will have no difficulty in convincing yourself that you will acquire it.
One must realize that all who have accumulated great fortunes first did a certain amount of dreaming, hoping, wishing, desiring, and planning before they acquired money.
If the thing you wish to do it right, and you believe in it, go ahead and do it! Put your dream across, and never mind what "they" say if you meet with temporary defeat, for "they" perhaps, do not know that every failure brings with the seed of an equivalent success.

"Thomas Edison dreamed of a lamp that could be operated by electricity, began where he stood to put his dream into action, and despite more than ten thousand failures, he stood by that dream until he made it a physical reality. Practical dreamers do not quit!"

"The Wright brothers dreamed of a machine that would fly through the air. Now one may see evidence all over the world they dreamed soundly."

"Whelan dreamed of a chain of cigar stores, transformed his dream into action, and now the United Cigar Stores occupy the some of best corners in America."

The world is filled with an abundance of opportunity which the dreamers of the pat knew. Dreams are not born of indifference, laziness, or lack of ambition. A burning desire to need to give the kickstart towards your desire/dream. Remember that all who succeed in life get off to bad start, and pass through many heartbreaking struggles before they "arrive".
There is a difference between wishing for a thing and being ready to receive it. No one is ready for a thing until he believes he can acquire it. The state of mind must be belief, not mere hope or wish. Open-mindedness is essential for belief. closed minds do not inspire faith, courage, and belief. Remember no one is required to aim high in life to demand abundance and prosperity, than is required to accept misery and poverty.
Through some strange and powerful principle of "mental chemistry" which she has never divulged. Nature wraps up in the impulse of strong desire "that something" which recognizes no such word as impossible, and accepts no such reality as failure.

Conclusion

  • Towards the first step towards getting rich we learned that "To be rich first we have to rich in mentally and we have to strongly believe, then automatically our dream and believe comes true".
  • By following the six steps as mentioned in this topic Desire we can get rich.
  • The given six steps we have to repeat follow strictly, until we succeed in our dream.
  • Like Thomas Edison, The Wright Brothers and Whelan we have to dream it first and then work sincerely and give as much effort to turn our dream into reality.
